Slide the Corner
By Fleur Beale
Slide the Corner is a book about Greg Mannering. He has a passion for cars and dreams of being a Rally Driver. But his dad thinks Rally driving is a waste of time and petrol. He puts this dream aside. Then his luck changes when he meets Holly and Brad Chatterton. He finds himself the co-driver in rally’s and he gets himself a job in Brads car workshop. Slide the Corner is a really great book. I think it’s aimed at boys but I enjoyed it anyway. I think its suitable for kids aged 10 and up.

‘Slinky Malinki’s Christmas Crackers’ is a great picture book by Lynley Dodd. It starts off with a wonderfully decorated Christmas tree with tinsel and bows and everything. But then, things won’t be quite the same as they used to be when that sneaky cat Slinky Malinki comes along... This book would mostly be suitable for an audience of year 1 and up. The thing I like the most about this book is how silly the ending is, but that’s another story (not really but you get the idea). I give this book a 4/5.
